We are looking for proactive and experienced Nursery Technician Team Leader to join our Lambs Flowers Nursery team based in Pinchbeck.
This role will be a very varied role within the Lambs Flowers Nursery team. To be successful in this role, you will be fully trained in Growing technician roles: Crop Spraying, Watering, Glasshouse prep and control and Ground-working. You will also be required to manage small teams when required. This role is critical to growing the amazing fresh cut flowers that we produce in the volumes that we produce them. You will take responsibility for the tasks assigned to you and have the ability to work under your own initiative. You will also need to hold a current forklift and PPT truck licences as there will be a requirement to control light or heavy machinery in various fields and perform tasks as required on the Nursery.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Good working knowledge of horticulture nursery
- Previously held a Team Leader / Supervisory role
- Crop spraying certificates (PA1, PA3 & PA6) advantageous (training can be provided)
- Hold a current forklift / PPT / POEP truck licences advantageous (training can be provided)
- A good understanding of Health & Safety
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong literacy & numeracy skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Enjoy the challenge of working in a fast moving environment
- Able to work under pressure and working to deadlines
- The ability to work as part of a team or individually
- Full driving licence and own transport essential
A flexible approach to hours / days worked is required, but you will be following a core shift pattern, which will include weekend working.
